Domestic Gas Repairs Supervisor - London

£40K - £43K (D.O.E)

Key responsibilities;

  • To support & monitor a team of operatives who service, repair, maintain and install gas appliances in client owned properties.                           
  • Assisting team members on work progress, general maintenance of breakdowns of gas appliances and central heating systems.
  • Ensure the correct resources and materials are supplied for each job.                                                                                                     
  • Monitor engineer’s performances & their time management.  manage top up hours and advise the FOM on resource planning.                     
  • Ensure security & correct operation of equipment supplied, including vehicles/flue gas analysis meters/mobile data equipment i.e. PDA’s.                                                                                                    
  • Check completed works for compliance with current safety regulations (Regulation 26/9 of the Gas Safety Regulations.)                    
  • Work with the central admin teams on a daily basis ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times.

The ideal candidate will;

  • Have a logical & methodical approach to problem solving and fault diagnosis, staying focused & providing a satisfactory outcome.        
  • Have a sound knowledge of Customer Care & possess the ability to deal with emotional demanding customer related situations.        
  • Willing & able to work as part of a team, independently showing initiative dealing with situations and completing tasks.                      
  • Ability to work to deadlines & timescales and liaise with managers and clients regarding changes to schedules or appointments.                            
  • Effectively communicate with the team/clients to explain the correct operation of gas appliances & the importance of regularly servicing gas appliances.
