Technical Sales Engineer – Renewables - East of England

 

East of England (Ideally based in East London, Ipswich, or surrounding South East areas).

Overview:

Our client, an established MCS (National Standards for Renewable Energy) Umbrella company, is looking for a high-calibre ASHP Technical Engineer to support their operations across the East of England. This is a pivotal role where you will act as the Nominated Technical Supervisor for MCS-registered installations while serving as the primary technical conduit for their clients.
The Technical Engineer will be responsible for the entire technical and commercial integrity of allocated projects in the target area. This spans the full project lifecycle: from conducting "consultative" site surveys and precision heat loss modelling to the final commissioning of systems and ongoing technical support of the subcontracted installer network.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Plumbing & Heating: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
  • Heat Pumps: LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation.
  • Compliance: G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS, and a comprehensive knowledge of MCS standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.
  • Soft Skills: A "consultative" mindset with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for non-technical customers.
  • Logistics: Based in/around East London or Ipswich, with a willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays.
