Area Sales Manager (NORTH)

£42K - £45K basic  D.O.E + O.T.E 40%

Overview:

The role of the area sales manager is to represent Impey UK within a defined geographical area as listed and successfully promote Impey UK Healthcare product ranges within this territory.  The ASM is responsible for managing existing business and developing new business in accordance with specified targets set by the Regional Sales Manager.  The customers to be targeted will include Contractors. Local Authorities, Home Improvement Agencies and Housing Associations.

    • Provide account management service to selected clients.
    • Use market knowledge and understanding to identify prospective clients within the area, and generate new levels of business.
    • To secure product Specification and brand awareness in the sector.
    • Utilise the company’s pricing policy whilst effecting negotiations to bring about profitable contracts.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally you will have experience as regards to specification sales preferably in the local authority sector and possibly Healthcare, KBB or building materials sector
  • Have a proven track record of successful field sales
  • Be successful in making appointments to the level of 4 or more per day during the working week
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, along with superior inter-personal and diplomatic attributes that are to be displayed at all times when dealing with customers
  • Be able to present using PowerPoint to a high standard
  • Knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Microsoft Excel

  • Circa £42K - £45K basic 
  • Bonus - potential (and realistic) 40% of base salary.
