Commercial Director - UK

£130K - £150K D.O.E



  • Reporting to the CEO, you will own and execute the market’s commercial strategies to deliver the division’s ambitious goals. 
  • In full collaboration with senior management team colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of performance objectives, including the multi-channel commercial P&L responsibility.
  • The role will focus on the demand creation, technical application, and sales fulfilment of all GDHV brands, solutions, and products, covering the Heating, Cooling, Portables, Hot Water, Ventilation, MVHR, and Renewables product ranges.
  • Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategy. Partnering with peers and colleagues across product development, marketing and CX to define the drivers of growth and implement execution plans to deliver performance objectives.
  • Leadership: create a high-performing organisation through the galvanising of a high-potential sales force around clear and ambitious but achievable targets.
  • Develop solution-selling as a key competence: Given the significant product breadth, total responsibility will be assumed for the successful development of a solution led sales strategy, which pulls together numerous technologies.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Proven commercial excellence (sales leadership, strategy development and execution, elevating internal and external partnerships) within a relevant industry and an organisation of similar scale and complexity.
  • Clear leadership qualities that enable seamless interfaces between executive, strategic and operational functions.
  • Depth of management experience with large sales team - performance, delivery, strategy, contribution, and results delivery.
  • Exposed to and appreciative of a diverse & international business environment, ideally with a strong foothold in the UK market.
  • A network that could span Social Housing, Wholesaler, Merchant, Distribution, Installer, Developer, Buying and Installer Groups Consultant, MEP and Main Contractor Sectors, inter alia.
  • Participation in industry bodies/trade associations.
