Overview:

Our client, a specialist provider of mechanical, electrical and building services, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to be responsible for commercial management, cost control and contract administration for their mechanical and electrical building services projects. This role supports bidding/estimating and delivery teams to ensure projects are procured, measured, valued and closed out accurately and profitably, while adhering to compliance with contract terms and their varying client requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

Strong commercial awareness of M&E building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire protection etc)
Competent in measurement methods for building services, preparation of estimates (eg. NRM/SMM7)
Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering or relevant discipline; or equivalent experience.
RICS, CIOB, or equivalent professional membership desirable.
3+ years’ QS experience with proven exposure to M&E packages.
Practical site exposure to M&E installation, commissioning and subcontract management advantageous.
Experience preparing final accounts, variation management and claims preferred.
