Specification Sales Manager - South West

£45K - £53k D.O.E

Overview:

  • Act as a key member of the UK Specification team.

  • Add to a culture based on high performance and agreed sales principles and objectives.

  • Identify key customers in priority market sectors and be able to quickly build relationships that deliver a project pipeline ensuring sustainable sales growth.

  • Working with the merchant and specification team assisting them in expanding the business by looking for new opportunities in new markets with new customers

  • Create a sustainable relationship between client and create demand for merchant partner customers

  • Work directly/indirectly to identify influencers and decision makers within customers maximise opportunities with our target customers, both direct and indirect.

  • Working as part of the internal merchant and specification team as well as the wider sales team and business. Working alongside finance, taking a part in the management of the company’s margin targets.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Exceptional knowledge of the UK construction industry including the residential sector, national and regional merchants, and all influencing factors including customers, projects and total supply chain management.

  • Sound financial understanding of costs, mark up and margins.

  • A strategic thinker with a practical approach to turning vision into reality

  • Strength in developing and managing clients, projects and total supply chain management. An ability to present at all levels of business.

  • A very driven self-starter capable of finding new opportunities and delivering new and established sales channels.

  • IT knowledge and skills, to support generation of management information to support decision making, and enable decisions to be made within the specification team.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills.

  • Identification skills, striving to best manage large quantities of information.
